Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable Management
- Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable balances and maintain accurate records.
- Handle vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor payment schedules and ensure adherence to payment terms.
Tax Filing and Compliance
- Prepare and assist in filing federal, state, and local taxes.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of tax filings and related documentation.
- Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports.
General Accounting Support
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budget tracking and reporting.
Process Improvement
- Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and tax regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in accounts payable and/or tax filing.
- Prior experience in corporate accounting is preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and tax regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Certifications (Preferred): CPA, CMA, or equivalent credentials.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
