WINK News-Southwest Florida’s News Leader has an opening for a Meteorologist. Our viewers expect a personable presentation and an accurate forecast. SW Florida residents have moved here because they love the climate, so we need a weather communicator to connect with them. Duties include TV and Radio forecasts, social media updates and public appearances. SW Florida is a dynamic weather market near the lightning capital of the country, susceptible to tropical weather and an occasional winter frost or freeze. Prior experience with tropical weather is a plus, but not a deal breaker. Our meteorological staff will guide you and teach you if needed.
