Job Description
Position: Field Operator
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Duration: 6 Months
We are looking for a motivated device operator and technician with excellent problem solving and communication skills. The person will be responsible for deploying devices for testing, monitoring the health and state of devices, and troubleshooting issues with these devices before, during, and after testing. Operations will include device logging, deployment, and maintenance as directed by the coordinator.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
• Execute device tests as directed by coordinator
• Understand and adhere to operational policy and procedures
• Monitor devices during testing and troubleshoot issues following documented procedures • Escalate to coordinator when undocumented issues arise
• Attend required operations meetings
• Complete required trainings
• Transferring equipment between buildings
• Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 1 year of Unix or Mac command line experience
• Proven track record of working with little supervision, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to maintain composure and handle frequent change or unexpected disruptions. • Must have a valid driver's license for the 3 years prior to the contract start date
• Must have a clear driving record including but not limited to:
- No more than 1 point on driving record for 3 years preceding contract start date
- No incidents of any motor vehicle accident causing injury or death to any person.
- No convictions of a DUI or license suspensions or revocations based upon driving or
operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or any drug in the 10 years prior to the contract start date.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent and must be able to complete a drug and background screen.
