Accounts Payable Manager (Mandarin Speaker)

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for the accounts payable process, journal entries, account reconciliation, implementing internal controls, and improving existing policies and procedures.

• Verifies the validity and accuracy of A/P invoices, records, and posts to correct G/L accounts

• Timely processes all kinds of payments

• Reconciles bank accounts and credit card accounts

• Records journal entries

• Maintains accounting ledgers, reviews and reconciles accounts, makes adjusting entries

• Prepares/gathers monthly statements/reports for outside accounting firm, assists with monthly closing

• Reviews financial statements and tax returns

• Maintains and improves internal controls

• Provides timely explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets

• Manages fixed assets, including real estate, equipment, furniture, and computers

• Reviews daily sales invoices to identify pricing issues

• Calculates retirement plan employer/employee contributions correctly, submits contributions timely, and performs year-end contribution reconciliation

• Reviews A/R daily cash receipt records, verifies bank deposits, and monitors bank activities

• Prepares weekly check report and bank account balance report

• Handles worker’s compensation audit

• Collects accounting/tax information for CPA to prepare tax returns

• Collects sales records for sales/use tax reporting

• Administers employee benefit plans

• Manages sales contracts, patent documents, company documents, licenses, and permit renewals

• Acts as liaison with external auditors during audits

• Coordinates with corporate attorneys, patent and trademark attorneys on legal issues

• Special projects as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Strong professional ethics

• Ability to handle multiple tasks

• Highly motivated and detail-oriented

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 BC is a plus

• Applicant must be bilingual in Mandarin and English (listening, reading, and writing)

• Experience in golf or fishing is preferred

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Compensation: Based on qualifications and experience ($70,000 - $90,000)
