Box Office/Gift Shop Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the efficient operation of a quality retail sales operation through supervisory and administrative work in the Gift Shop and Box Office.

JOB DUTIES:

1. Supervises the operation of the Gift Shop and box office; meets, greets, and assists public in selecting gifts and other merchandise; supervises staff also engaged in service to the public, selling, and responsible for the ticket sales of WCR events.

2. Serves as a buyer, meeting with vendors and product representatives to select marketable goods and

gifts appropriate to the mission, programs and events of WCR.

3. Maintains product quality levels in conformity with institution image and audience served.

4. Conducts cashiering and receipting the sale of merchandise by cash and charge transactions and

performs such duties as required; maintains sales records through the Point-of-Sale (POS) software

and sets profit margins to price items for sale.

5. Codes inventory invoices and submits to Accounts Payable for payment.

9. Maintains an appropriate inventory level in conjunction with the software report

and budget.

9. Organizes monthly inventory of merchandise and stock, extends and prices inventory for use in

preparation of monthly operating statements and year-end audit.

10. Processes all internal orders for items purchased by other WCR departments and forwards to

accounting to receive credit for sales.

11. Recruits, interviews, and selects sales personnel; provides an organized on the job staff training

program.

12. Supervises and coordinates the work of assigned staff; plans staff work schedules according to

projected business levels.

13. Involved with the hiring process, including reviewing applications in Human Resources for potential applicants, scheduling, and conducting interviews.

14. Directly responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Company’s reputation and image.

15. Performs additional duties as assigned.

AUTHORITY AND SUPERVISORY CAPACITY

· Possesses authority needed to accomplish 1 – 15 above.

SIGNATURE AUTHORITY:

All personnel action forms related to supervising and training

ACCESS TO SENSITIVE AREAS:

• With Security escort in accordance with Internal Controls.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Box Office and ticket sales systems preferred.

3. 2-5 years of retail management experience required.

• 5 years of direct customer service experience required.
• Able to handle large amounts of inventory.
• Point of Sale Systems experience a plus.
• Must be able to obtain gaming license.
• Native American preference.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

1. Must have a telephone.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.

4. Must be able to withstand a smoky environment for extended periods of time, with direct exposure to secondhand smoke.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $68,500.00 per year
