JOB SUMMARY:
Under general direction of the IT Manager, assists manager with, installing, monitoring, repairing, and responding to inquiries relating to the operation of the Casino Network System.
JOB DUTIES:
- Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
- Confer with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
- Develop training materials and procedures, or train users in the proper use of hardware or software.
- Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
- Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken or installation activities.
- Modify and customize commercial programs for internal needs.
- Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
- Prepare evaluations of software or hardware, and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
- Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or supervisor/manager for service.
- Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
- Must demonstrate good attendance and initiative and always perform duties in a positive and professional manner.
- Must attend all department training/meetings as directed by management.
- Complete all routine paperwork.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

· Possesses authority needed to accomplish 1 - 16 above.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. Associates Degree in computer information systems preferred or equivalent experience preferred.
2. 1-2 years work experience performing professional computer information systems and networking.
3. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
4. Good organizational skills.
5. Bi-cultural experience preferred.
6. Native American preference.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
1. Must have a telephone.
2. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
3. Due to the nature of this position, confidentiality is a must.
4. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
5. Must be able to withstand a smoky environment for extended periods of time, with direct exposure to secondhand smoke.
