Bill of Material Writer

Winnebago Towables has an immediate need for an experienced candidate to fill a Bill of Material Writer position. This position will be based in Middlebury, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Create bills of material for new models, assemblies, or features
• Conduct bill of material audits to monitor accuracy
• Identify and search for appropriate parts and assemblies
• Build an accurate BOM based on engineering prints and product information
• Reconcile the BOM with the Purchasing page prior to release
• Add BOM portion to the AX configurator
• Create and maintain all part numbers requested by purchasing/engineering/parts & service
• Update Active BOM’s through PCN changes, plant requests and print updates
• Assist with current and future product development
• Partake in all BOM, AX and training related to the BOM position
• Perform numerical calculations and work with details. Requires the ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Assist with Work in Process inventory
  
  

Knowledge & Skills

• A minimum of one year experience in RV manufacturing required
• Requires ability to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• AX Dynamics experience preferred, but not required
• Comprehensive understanding of data input
• Must have strong organization skills and be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
• Should have good communication skills, written and oral, with all departments within the business
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, while maintaining individual goals
• Self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude is required

• Use hand and arms to reach, grasp, or manipulate objects
• Lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work on a computer monitor for extended periods of time
• Work usually takes place in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting
• May need to visit production areas as needed and may be exposed to noise, air pollutants, etc
