Are you a strategic leader that loves to drive optimization and process improvement? Winnebago Towables, a division of Winnebago Industries, is seeking a General Manager to lead our operations based in Middlebury, IN. This role will be the business owner and point of accountability to the Winnebago Towable Division. This person will be able to provide company growth, development, strategy and leadership to sales, product, engineering, operations, human resources and finance organizations and build the organization with an engaging culture by setting the strategy, allocating resources, developing leaders while guiding operations.

- Overall strategic responsibility for the entire organization including sales, product, client relationships, engineering, staffing, human resources, finance and operations.
- Dealer relations, sales development, positive company positioning based on future growth goals
- Ensure product segmentation portfolio for every Brand of responsibility
- Assess dealer performance and initiate plans to upgrade dealer where needed
- Oversee all sales activities to achieve revenue goals
- Responsible for enhancing dealer relationships
- Articulate and understand responsible Brands, including history and differentiating features for each
- Emphasis on growing and maintaining dealer relationships
- Able to provide direct and indirect leadership to all levels of the organization
- Identify and understand the end customer; suggest product process changes to meet needs
- Escalate customer needs about products and services offered
- Provide specific direction on sales performance for each Regional Sales Rep
- Take the lead in all areas of dealer relationship building i.e. dinners and events
- Utilize statistical surveys to determine actions needed for each business area to meet market share goals
- Enhance supplier relations in conjunction Supply Chain initiatives
- Provide ultimate decision on pricing in conjunction with CEO/CFO/Product Manager
- Attend retail shows, National Rally, Dealer dinners/open house, etc as deemed necessary
- Provide Quality products on time to dealers
- Ensure product positioning and product success in the marketplace
- All additional responsibility as communicated by Group President
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business experience required. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Extensive leadership experience required. Proven ability to hold others accountable, coach, influence and lead for succession.
- 15 years manufacturing experience with at least one leadership role being within a complex durable goods environment.
- GM or equivalent experience including P&L ownership.
- Change Agent with experience with transforming manufacturing environments.
- Working knowledge of vertical integration & materials systems.
- Demonstrated track record of implementing improvements that drove business impact / results.
- Must have demonstrated skills and abilities to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization (frontline to executive).
- Strong track record of innovation and making changes to the operation to further improve the work environment and unit performance.
- Community Leader. This position will be the highest-ranking person in Indiana and will represent the towable company to the community.
- Must be flexible to travel; 35% including weekends
