POSITION SUMMARY
Winner Chevrolet is looking for a experienced and driven Automotive Sales Consultant to join our growing team. The right candidate will have previous Automotive Sales Experience, and strong ability to learn and grow within Chevrolet.
An Automotive Sales Consultant, also known as a Car Salesperson or Automotive Sales Representative, is a professional who works in a dealership or automotive retail setting and assists customers in purchasing new or used vehicles. Their primary responsibility is to sell automobiles to prospective buyers while providing exceptional customer service.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to understand their automotive needs, preferences, and budget constraints. Provide product information, demonstrate vehicle features, and accompany customers on test drives.
- Sales Process: Guide customers through the entire sales process, from initial contact to finalizing the sale. Assist in the selection of appropriate vehicles, negotiate pricing and financing options, and present purchase or lease agreements.
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of various vehicle models, including their features, specifications, and available options. Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and new releases to effectively communicate and promote the benefits of different vehicles.
- Lead Generation: Generate leads through various methods such as responding to inquiries, making outbound calls, attending networking events, and following up with potential customers. Collaborate with the marketing team to implement strategies for attracting new customers.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and building long-term relationships. Offer post-sale support and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction, including scheduling maintenance appointments and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives set by the dealership. Continuously strive to improve sales performance by staying motivated, adopting effective selling techniques, and implementing feedback from sales managers.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete necessary paperwork, including sales contracts, finance applications, and vehicle registration documents. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of sales transactions, customer information, and inventory records.
- Finance and Insurance: Collaborate with the finance and insurance department to assist customers in securing suitable financing options, extended warranties, and insurance coverage. Explain financial terms, options, and processes to customers in a clear and professional manner.
- Stay Updated on Automotive Industry: Stay informed about the latest trends, market conditions, and technological advancements in the automotive industry. Attend training sessions, workshops, and manufacturer-sponsored programs to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
- Compliance and Ethics: Adhere to ethical standards, company policies, and legal requirements related to automotive sales, consumer protection, and privacy. Maintain confidentiality of customer information and handle all financial transactions with integrity.
