Job Summary:
Winner Subaru Volkswagen are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Automotive Parts Counter Person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers with parts inquiries, locating and selling parts, and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced automotive environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in person and over the phone, providing expert advice on automotive parts and accessories.
- Parts Identification & Sales: Help customers identify the correct parts for their vehicle, including but not limited to engines, brakes, tires, filters, and more.
- Order Processing: Take and process customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery or pick-up of parts.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory levels, stock parts, and monitor product turnover to avoid shortages or overstock.
- Parts Research: Use computerized systems to look up parts numbers, pricing, and availability.
- Provide Estimates: Prepare price quotes for parts and accessories and inform customers about any promotions or special offers.
- Customer Follow-Up: Follow up on back-ordered parts and notify customers of availability or delays.
- Returns & Warranty Claims: Process returns, exchanges, and warranty claims, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Maintain Organization: Keep the parts counter and storage areas neat, clean, and organized for optimal workflow and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Technicians: Work closely with service and repair technicians to ensure parts are correctly ordered and delivered for repair jobs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an automotive parts counter or customer service role is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive parts and their functions is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use computer systems and point-of-sale software to process orders and check parts availability.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move automotive parts and equipment as needed.
- A friendly, professional attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
