Winningham & Fradley is a 44 year Professional Civil Engineering in the Broward County area. We offer a diversified range of Civil Engineering services, specializing in land development, and planning, for residential, commercial, and industrial properties and general consulting services for governmental Clients. We are seeking an entry level engineering position to join our team whose responsibilities shall include design, planning, drafting & preparation of base plans, permitting, permit review, cost estimating, assistance with bidding, and construction related services for paving and drainage systems, water distribution, sewage collection & transmission systems, pumping stations, roadway, parking lot construction & reconstruction, rehabilitation projects, etc. Our clients include both the Public and Private sector.
We are looking for this dedicated team member whose educational experience and knowledge of the principles of civil engineering will take them to the next level to become a well-trained Professional Engineer within a diverse civil engineering environment.

Responsibilities and Duties (will train)
•CAD drafting of a variety of projects including master,
conceptual and final engineering site and construction plans.
•Field visits of several construction sites that are underway
to become familiar with the services we provide.
•Review and interpret plans and specifications for
construction projects.
•Prepare construction quantity estimates, cost estimating and
assistance with project bidding.
•Review shop drawings and review and prepare record drawings.
•Prepare various engineering calculations.
•Assist project engineers with due diligence reports and
feasibility studies.
•Obtain as-built data from governmental agencies needed
for design and planning services.
•Prepare Stormwater Management calculations with
accompanying reports.
•Prepare engineering plans, profiles, cross sections, details,
specifications, etc.
•Design water distribution, sewer collection & transmission
systems, pumping stations, paving, grading, pavement
markings, and drainage systems design.
•Project permitting with governmental agencies.
•Review surveys, geotechnical and other reports.
•Prepare CAD exhibits and maps needed for project
presentations.
•Assist project engineers with project close-out and
certifications.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited four-year college or
university for Civil Engineering; EI (preferred).
•Knowledge of basic engineering design fundamentals.
•Ability to work on multiple projects.
•Ability to apply good engineering principles when performing
calculations related to project planning and design.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills when
interacting and corresponding with intra-office staff,
clients, contractors, governmental agencies, and the public.
•Strong ability to follow instructions and problem solving.
•Ability to work well with others.

Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
