Winnisquam Regional Middle School is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Middle School Cheerleading Coach. This stipend position will oversee the cheerleading program from November 2025 through February 2026, guiding and inspiring our middle school students to develop their cheerleading skills, teamwork, and school spirit.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management: Plan, organize, and implement the cheerleading program, including practices, routines, and performances.
Instruction and Coaching: Teach cheerleading techniques, including stunts, cheers, dances, and safety protocols. Develop and choreograph routines for games and competitions.
Team Leadership: Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth among student-athletes.
Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and school administration. Provide regular updates on team progress and events.
Event Coordination: Coordinate with school staff to schedule and prepare for cheerleading events.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all cheerleading activities adhere to safety regulations and school policies. Monitor the health and well-being of team members.
Support and Mentorship: Offer guidance and support to team members both on and off the field. Encourage academic success and personal development.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous cheerleading or coaching experience at the middle school or high school level is preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Knowledge: Understanding of cheerleading techniques, safety practices, and program management.
Certification: Current CPR/First Aid, NFHS Concussion in Sports, Fundamentals of Coaching and Cheer and Dance Safety certification or the willingness to obtain before the start of the season.
