This is a 40 hour per week position with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, short term disability, flexible spending and dependent care accounts, paid sick, personal and vacation time, and NH Retirement. Please note that this is a second shift position.
Minimum starting pay $16/hour

REPORTS TO: Facilities Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred
•Six months to one year of custodial experience, or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates knowledge of
the tasks and functions of the job
•Ability to work in environments with different needs, and understand and follow instructions
•Such alternatives to these qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
JOB DESCRIPTION:
•To perform routine maintenance and cleaning of school buildings in support of education, extra and co-curricular programs of the
school district
•Familiar with, and execute, safe work procedures associated with assigned work
•Maintain effective, appropriate work relations with building staff, students, contractors, regulatory agencies and the community
•Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by Facilities Supervisor or Director of Facilities
•Available for emergencies, or additional work and/or overtime, as required and approved
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
•Maintain appearance and cleanliness of floors, carpets and common areas in each assigned building, to
include washing and waxing, as needed or determined by the building principal or department head
•Empty trash receptacles in each assigned building, and transfer to disposal location
•Maintain clean and sanitary conditions, and supplies in restrooms in each assigned building.
•Maintain cleanliness of glass and mirror surfaces in each assigned building
•Set and reset classrooms and common areas before and after activities, as required
•Remove dirt, debris, snow and ice from walkways at each assigned building
•Perform repairs of a minor or routine nature in and around each assigned building
•Maintain illumination and safety equipment in each assigned building
•Monitor performance of equipment and components and alert the Facilities Supervisor to problems and
suggest improvements
•Report all records of inspections, tests, and repairs to the Director of Facilities
•Maintain security, and monitor and limit access to building in accordance with established policies and
procedures
•Refer students to the Building Principal when disciplinary action may be required
