Special Education Paraprofessionals

The WRSD is hiring Special Education Paraprofessional to perform duties at the Compass Classical Charter School in Northfileld, NH. Paraprofessionals perform duties that are instructional in nature or deliver direct services to students in conjunction with the Special Education and/or classroom Teacher to implement educational programs and services appropriate to student's needs. Special Education Paraprofessionals are compassionate individuals who provide assistance to students with disabilities, as determine QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma - Level II Paraeducator licensure through the New Hampshire Department of Education or ability and desire to obtain is preferred. - Strong written and oral communication skills JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Facilitate students getting to and from the classroom and designated spot for virtual specially designed instruction - Provide extra assistance to students with special needs that allows them to access the small group or 1:1 virtual instruction - Collaborate with WRSD and CCCS staff to coordinate instruction for students - Assist in maintaining records for the purpose of documenting activities and/or ensuring an up-to-date trail for compliance with various state, federal, and administrative regulations - Enforce administration policies and rules governing students - Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage - Observe students' performance, and record relevant data to assist in assessing progress - Other tasks as requested by Virtual Instructor, Coordinator of Student Services, Director of Student Services, District Superintendent, and/or State and Federal mandates.
