What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Technician position at WinnMed?
WinnMed is seeking to hire a PRN Patient Care Technician to join our Med/Surg Team ! Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) provide support to patients on the Med/Surg Unit (WinnMed's hospital in-patient department). PCTs provide basic patient care under direction of the RN. PCTs also are responsible for Unit Secretary duties, which include facilitating the operations of the nursing station, coordinating communication between patient, family, visitors, and health team members. PCTs are responsible for observing telemetry cardiac monitors and informing nursing staff of changes and/or life-threatening rhythms. PRN or as-needed. Schedule includes a variety of shifts, including some overnights.
Shift Premiums:
- 2nd Shift: $3.00/ hour
- 3rd Shift: $4.00/ hour
- Weekend: $2.00/ hour
- Active CNA Certification on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry required
- American Heart Association BLS (CPR) required within 30 days of hire; can certify at WinnMed
- Previous PCT or CNA experience beneficial
Salary : $2 - $4
