What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agricultural Science/Ag Mechanics Teacher position at Winnsboro ISD?
Motivated Agricultural Science/Ag teacher with appropriate certifications. Previous experience preferred, but not required.
Contract:12 months (226 days) plus stipend. Position may require extendend hours and weekends.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Competitive salary to be based on skills and experience. Must exhibit the ability to oversee and instruct students in all aspects of ag sciences, leadership events, and ag mechanics projects for county and statewide shows.
Numerous successful chapter activities are in place, and a strong booster organization supports the program. Ability to instruct students, manage a classroom and motivate students to participate in all levels of the FFA program required. Leadership in FFA and skills activities required. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills preferred.
Winnsboro High School is a brand new, state-of-the-art structure that includes new athletic and ag facilities. The Ag program has tremendous school and community support.
Commercial Driver License (CDL) is required.
