District Technician
Primary Job Description:
Perform on-site technical work to install and maintain computer equipment and software applications
throughout the district. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing network and computer
hardware in a timely manner.
Job Responsibilities (On job training provided as needed):
· Install and upgrade computers and peripherals.
· Maintaining hardware inventory.
· Install network cabling and network peripherals.
· Install Smart Boards, projectors, and other audio/visual devices.
· Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.
· Install and configure software.
· Install wireless access points.
· Imaging devices.
Education/Certifications:
· A High School diploma is required.
· CompTia A and Network is preferred but not required.
· Microsoft certifications preferred but not required.
Experience:
· Technical experience preferred but not required.
Skill Requirements:
•Knowledge of computer workstation and server setup.
•Ability to be self-motivated, communicative, and work independently.
•Ability to work with the Technology staff to see issues to resolution.
•Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload throughout district.
•Ability to install, maintain and repair computers and peripherals, including printers, copiers and scanners.
•Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware.
•Ability to diagnose and resolve computer hardware, software, and network problems.
•Eagerness and ability to learn the above skills and new ones as opportunities present themselves.

· Be customer service oriented and maintain a professional approach regarding all district matters.
· Perform special projects, after-hours support and upgrades, and other duties as assigned.
· Travel to campus locations for onsite support as required.
