Primary Purpose:
Under moderate supervision, organize and manage the routine work activities associated with personnel file management. Processes and maintains files and records for employees of the district, while maintaining security and confidentiality.
Position is part-time; 8-20 hours per week
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient skills in data entry and file maintenance
Ability to operate computer software, copier, and scanner
Ability to use software to upload personnel documents to employee profiles
Ability to speak, read, and understand English
Ability to read and comprehend instructions
Excellent organizational skills
Experience:
3 years of clerical experience in an office setting
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
File Management
- Maintain files for all employees and applicants, including receiving and routing of changes (e.g., name, address changes).
- Enter and update employee information in a central database.
- Scan and upload documents into the employee management and filing systems.
Other
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
