Position Overview:
The floor care technician position is responsible for meeting all floor care standards at Winona Health and its affiliates. This position contributes to the clean and sanitized environment in the organization by removing refuse from appropriate departments. The caregiver must be flexible to work several positions with varied responsibilities. Must provide excellent customer service to those we serve.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides excellent customer service to all patients, residents, customers and co-workers.
• Anticipates the needs and wants of those we serve.
• Completes documentation as required.
• Use of commercial cleaning products and chemicals.
• Use of commercial cleaning equipment including auto-scrubbers and floor machines.
• Ability to follow standard work, standard cleaning, and disinfecting procedures.
• Perform waste removal duties including infectious and hazardous waste, sharps disposal, recycling and trash disposal, and linen transport.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment.
• Prioritizes and organizes work efficiently to meet department timelines.
• Completes mandatory educational requirements of Winona Health caregivers.
• Keeps an open mind and demonstrates a willingness to learn new methods, procedures, and techniques that embrace change.
• Understands, supports and integrates the organization’s vision/mission/values.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• High School/GED Equivalent.
• Previous floor care tech experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
