Food & Nutrition Services Supervisor
1.0 FTE- 80 hours / Pay Period
11:30am - 8:00pm

Position Overview:
The Food & Nutrition Supervisor is responsible for providing direction, guidance, and supervision to food service caregivers. This individual works as part of a team to ensure the preparation and service of all meals and events at Winona Health. This individual strictly enforces all food and physical safety requirements for a commercial food service operation. Works well with fellow caregivers to create a positive team environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor food preparation methods, processes, portion sizes, and presentation.
- Ensure food is being prepared efficiently using quality controls.
- Ensures required regulatory and HACCP documentation.
- Monitor sanitation guidelines throughout food service areas.
- Conducts monthly safety and quality audits as assigned.
- Promote and coach caregivers on regulatory and safety guidelines and rules.
- Coach caregivers through performance expectations.
- Facilitate and participate in daily FOCUS board meetings.
- Utilize PDCA methods for daily process improvement.
- Actively participate in Winona Health Leadership Academy.
- Completes mandatory educational requirements of Winona Health caregivers.
- Completes documentation and reporting duties as assigned (see addendum).
- Deliver the highest level of customer service standards for patients, residents, caregivers, and visitors at Winona Health.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- ServSafe or other nationally accredited food safety Certification required or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
- Ability to supervise caregivers and operations in multiple areas
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred:
- 1-2 years experience in the supervision of food service operations, multi-function food service operations (retail, food production, catering, skilled nursing, acute, etc.), healthcare or skilled nursing field preferred
