Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and efficient Hand Truck Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a hand truck (Electric Pallet Jack) to transport materials and products within the facility. This is a physically demanding position that requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety. The shift is Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm, with potential for overtime.
Duties:
- Safely operate a hand truck to bring material to and from line
- Load and unload items from pallets, racks, and shelves
- Follow Winona Powder Coating Inc. quality policy and established procedures
- Maintain acceptable housekeeping in areas of responsibility
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures
- Wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Inspect items for damage or defects and report any concerns
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations and production flow
- Communication between other production departments
- Must be able to multi-task
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the principal duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
- Previous experience operating hand trucks or similar equipment is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain product quality and organization
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols and company policies
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, as well as perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Education:
- · High School Diploma or GED
- · Basic Computer Skills
