Position Summary:
Winpak is looking for a dedicated Material Helper to join our team. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, and under the guidance of the Shift Supervisor or Lead Operators, you will be responsible for the movement of materials to and from the BSB bag machines, completing associated MOVEX/SFDC transactions, inspecting final FG pallets, and assisting bag machine operators. - Work closely with the BSB bag department staff and Quality Assurance Technicians to meet production, safety, quality, and housekeeping goals.
- Deliver raw materials to lines in advance of production schedules and ensure alignment with department practices.
- Perform accurate MOVEX/SFDC transactions related to material locations, issues, returns, and labeling.
- Transition finished boxes to the appropriate pallets, removing completed pallets from the production area and ensuring proper storage and wrapping.
- Seek guidance from Lead Operators or Supervisors as needed in task performance.
- Participate in daily activities to maintain a safe, productive, and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of bag machine experience preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment and utilize computer systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Knowledge of MOVEX/SFDC or similar inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with safety standards in high-risk environments.
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, and climbing.
- This position is for the 1st & 2nd.
- The role is 100% onsite, with the possibility of occasional overtime.
- Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
