Job Title: Extruder Operator

Position Summary:
Winpak is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Extruder Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate extrusion and co-extrusion machinery to produce high-quality products that meet customer needs. You will contribute to a safe and efficient work environment while maintaining production standards and ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate extruding and co-extruding machinery safely and efficiently to produce quality products.
- Perform quality checks as dictated by sampling plans.
- Promote safety practices and work collaboratively with other operators.
- Read and follow order paperwork, ensuring special instructions are adhered to.
- Build, label, and wrap pallets to meet customer expectations.
- Prepare raw materials and monitor process changes to maintain consistent production.
- Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties as needed to ensure a clean and safe work area.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a blown film environment.
- Basic math, computer, and measurement reading skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift up to 90 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and stair climbing.
- Ability to work on a rotational shift schedule, including some weekends and overtime.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with extruding and co-extruding machinery.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental policies.
- Ability to make machine adjustments and assist in changeovers once trained.
Additional Details:
- This position is for C & D shift.
- Required to work three 12-hour shifts one week and four 12-hour shifts the following week.
- This position is 100% onsite.
Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is competitive and based on experience. Specific pay will be determined based on individual qualifications and expertise.
