Position Title: Maintenance Technician – Die Clean
Location: Senoia, GA

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Winpak. This role will support the Die Clean process, reporting to the Die Clean Lead Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for calibration, repair, troubleshooting, installation, and preventative maintenance of extruder dies, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete die clean activities as scheduled, including disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of dies in the extruder.
- Inspect dies for damage or wear after production.
- Measure and monitor machinery performance, including voltage and currents on energized circuits (up to 480V AC).
- Operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, and surface grinders.
- Maintain accurate and complete records on tooling and repair activities.
- Investigate the root cause of quality issues and participate in corrective actions.
- Perform proactive and reactive maintenance of equipment and calibrate instruments.
- Assist in spare parts inventory maintenance and order parts as required.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in Industrial Maintenance or Electronic Technology is preferred.
- 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Strong understanding of automated production machinery.
- Basic knowledge of programmable controllers, operator interfaces, and electrical/electronic components.
- Proficient with reading blueprints, operating machine shop equipment, and using measurement tools.
- Competent in using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and maintenance databases like Micromain.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with extrusion equipment and die cleaning processes.
- Additional training in welding, machining, carpentry, or pipe fitting is a plus.
- Knowledge of industrial safety and environmental procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with other departments as needed.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, with occasional maneuvering of objects over 75 lbs.
- Frequent bending, stooping, stair climbing, and use of both hands for manual tasks.
- Requires standing/walking for 80% of the workday, and occasional sitting.
- Ability to work in a high-risk environment with exposure to chemical hazards, hot surfaces, or noise.
Working Environment:
- The role is based in a blown film extrusion plant and an un-air-conditioned warehouse/shop.
- Overtime, weekend, and emergency call-back support may be required based on plant needs.
Additional Details:
- This position requires a flexible work schedule to accommodate maintenance activities during scheduled shutdowns or in response to unexpected events.
- Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
