What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipper position at Winpak Portion Packaging?
Key Responsibilities - Using all ISO9001 instructions:
- Perform loading and unloading in a safe efficient manner following all company rules, regulations and procedures.
- Responsible for receiving inspection of raw materials and packaging.
- All trucks are to be loaded and unloaded only after using wheel chocks. Trailers must be inspected as per the trailer inspection procedure.
- Ability to load and unload trailers using vendors bill of ladings and/or pick list. Quantity, product identification, and condition of product must match that of the bill of lading and/or pick list.
- Utilize first in, first out rule (FIFO) procedure when pulling product from inventory.
- Scanning of product / raw materials In and Out of plant and warehouse.
- Responsible for reporting food packaging safety problems to plant management.
- Must be trained in and follow company policies on GMP, sanitation, pre-requisite programs, chemical control and food safety plans and policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior forklift experience.
- Must be competent to carry out food packaging safety and quality responsibilities.
- Must be able to work rotating schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a warehouse setting.
Additional Details:
- This is a rotating day shift.
- Starting wage is $18.20 per hour.
