Position:
WinStar Insurance Group of Austin is seeking an Assistant Claim Specialist to join our agency. This individual will be responsible for working closely with the Claim Specialist while providing prompt, accurate and courteous service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Take claim calls from clients
- File claims with the company
- Obtain complete claim information from clients
- Document conversations and e-mail correspondence
- Set up activities in the agency management system
- Follow up on outstanding information
- Check the status on ongoing claims
- Provide necessary forms to customers
- Follow up on open activities
- Attend pertinent meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by Claim Specialist
Skills:
- Strong organization and time management skills required, with attention to detail
- Strong desire to help others
- Computer skills including agency management system and Microsoft Office products
- Team player with a positive approach to co-workers, work and the agency
- Highly motivated, self-starter who works independently to accomplish established agency goals
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Accountable for own actions and delivers on commitments
Experience:
- Insurance experience a plus
- Claims experience a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
License:
Texas Property & Casualty license (Preferred but not required)
