What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at Winston Hospitality, Inc.?

Responsible for the preparation and service of beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely and manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Bartender will also act as cashier for the lounge.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures complete guest satisfaction.
• Responsible for maintaining proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis, including the requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet.
• Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting and storing all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to insure product quality.
• Responsible for greeting guests in a courteous and friendly manner, while promoting beverage orders.
• Responsible for inputting orders into a register at the POS and create a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage server to maintain strict accountability of all beverages served.
• Responsible for receiving cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges, and insure vouchers are properly executed in order to balance all monies.
• Responsible for securing all beverages, food and other equipment items, deposits, cash drops and securing banks.
• Responsible for performing general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Responsible for the set-up according to established standards and company guidelines.
• Responsible for providing the lounge or bar guest with exceptional, attentive service.
• Must perform as any sales attendant in providing exceptional guest courtesy, having complete knowledge of all bar and menu items, including preparation, and suggestions for paring with beverages.
• May be responsible for clearing and busing the bar tables in the absence of bus person.
• Responsible for supporting other associates during periods of peak business.
• Responsible for suggestive selling to increasing average check.
• Responsible for the set-up and preparation work for the next shift or day.
• Practices the WinStar World Hotel Culture and ensures all cultural expectations are implemented and regularly practiced throughout the hotel.
• Supports hotel’s training needs and efforts.
• Must abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to Serving Alcohol with Care to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.
• Must have the ability to read, speak and write the English language in order to communicate with guests.
• Must have the ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
• Must have the ability to operate beverage and toaster equipment.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
