Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Nurse to join our team. As a Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings, including hospitals and senior care facilities. This role requires adaptability and the ability to work in diverse environments while delivering compassionate care to patients. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs.
- Administer IV infusions and injections as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide care for senior patients, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in discharge planning and MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
- Assist in the management of patients at Level I Trauma Centers when required.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures as necessary for diagnostic testing.
- Stay informed about workers' compensation law as it pertains to patient care.
Requirements
- Current nursing license in good standing.
- Proven experience in hospital medicine or related fields.
- Strong skills in IV infusion techniques and administering injections.
- Experience with dermal fillers is a plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes and MDS documentation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if needed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
