Server/Barista

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating a welcoming and vibrant café atmosphere. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and customer service, ensuring that each guest receives exceptional service while enjoying their favorite beverages. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and contributing to a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with their selections.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Follow food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with health regulations during food handling.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and notifying management when reordering is necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and efficiency.

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and cash register operations is beneficial.
• A friendly demeanor with strong communication skills to interact positively with customers.

Pay: $16.50 - $17.00 per hour
