Compensations: College Credit available – This position is non-paid.
Status: Part-time seasonal
Start Date: March 2025 (flexible with academic schedule)
End Date: September 2025 (flexible with academic schedule)
Hours Expected to Work: 10:00am – 4:00pm (non-Gamedays) | 1:00pm – end of game (Gamedays)
Job Description:
The Entertainment Intern will assist with enhancing the in-game fan experience at the Dash. The ideal candidate is someone who is creative, has a basic understanding of baseball, and can multitask multiple projects at one time. This internship focuses on entertainment creation, game presentation, and leadership opportunities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with scheduling all National Anthem performers
- Maintain a cleaning schedule for the Entertainment room, mascot, and control room
- Assist the Director with the development of new skits and promotions
- Oversee the Entertainment staff on a nightly basis
- Perform as the mascot or a member of the Dash Pack for 70 games if needed
- Download and update current music for in-game promotions and ballpark experience
- Create and maintain props for in-game entertainment
- Research pop culture ideas to incorporate into game day entertainment
- Update and create the game day scripts for the PA announcer
- Assist with scheduling Entertainment team
- Assist with theme night/promotion creation and execution
- Assist in other departments on non-game day as needed
Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible and demanding hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and ability to take initiative with projects and events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Training:
All new hires in the Winston-Salem Entertainment department will be thoroughly trained in all skits and promotions. You will receive training and skills needed to be successful with the Winston-Salem Dash or any other professional team.
