Compensations: College Credit available – This position is non-paid.
Status: Part-time seasonal
Start Date: March 2025 (flexible with academic schedule)
End Date: September 2025 (flexible with academic schedule)
Hours Expected to Work: 10:00am 4:00pm (non-Gamedays) | 2:00pm – end of game (Gamedays)
Job Description:
The Game Production Intern will assist with the game production elements of the Entertainment department. The ideal candidate is someone with experience in behind-the-scenes sports broadcasting (not play-by-play). This internship will focus on all the production elements that go into executing a game day. There will be a lot of preparation in the off weeks, and before the game starts, and then execution of a control room/production role.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of in-game entertainment videos and content
- Download and update current music for in-game promotions and ballpark experience
- Upload content for special events and gamedays on the Marquee and videoboard
- Coordination with creative services to help capture player headshots in static and motion formats for headshots, action shots, and sponsorship mockups
- Assist in the control room operations on select gamedays including, but not limited to, stadium music, replay operations, camera operations, scoreboard operations, or videoboard operations based on availability
- Utilize Diamond Software to capture television broadcast clips to assist in the creation of real-time and future video content including, but not limited to, post-game highlights and in-game videos
- Assist with repair and maintenance of production equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge and experience with Adobe software such as Premiere, Premiere Rush, After Effects, and Audition
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic experience with production equipment
- Knowledge of baseball is a plus
Training:
All new hires in the Winston-Salem Control Room will be thoroughly trained in all equipment and software within the Control Room. You will receive training and skills needed to be successful with the Winston-Salem Dash or any other production room.
