ESL Teacher for Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in Winston-Salem, NC. The job responsibilities of an ESL Teacher are to teach middle school students of various grade levels, identified as English as a Second Language (ESL) with limited English proficiency, through co-teaching and pullout, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interest. Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, establish clear objectives for all lessons, and plan lessons for daily instruction that derive from state standards and assessments. Provide educational experiences in the classroom that reflect the philosophy, goals and expectations of the ESL program. Conduct student-centered instruction to facilitate comprehension. Work effectively with a wide variety of students in a culturally diverse setting. Create a classroom environment that engages and supports all students in learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. Communicate with parents and school counselors on student progress and support outreach efforts to secure parent involvement in the school community. Bachelor's Degree or Foreign Equivalent in Education, Spanish, or a related field. Must possess an Educator License from the state of North Carolina.
