The job responsibilities of a Math Teacher are to teach middle school math classes to students individually and in groups, utilizing inquiry-based learning and adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and interests. Plan lessons for daily instruction that derive from state standards, assessments, and curriculum. Create a classroom environment that engages and supports all students in learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. Stay abreast of current topics in math. Effectively prepare and use instructional materials and technology resources. Maintain appropriate expectations for all students and provide appropriate feedback. Use measures of student learning to improve instruction. Utilize strategies to meet class objectives, student needs and abilities. Effectively communicate with students, parents, and the community. Bachelor's Degree or Foreign Equivalent in Education or a related field. Must possess an Educator License from the state of North Carolina. Multiple positions available.
