Winter Automotive Group of Pittsburg seeking a highly motivated, people friendly, organized human resource manager to lead our HR Department.
HR Role & Responsibilities: Human Resource Manager (HR) shares a vital role in ensuring a positive and compliant work environment for all employees. This position oversees various aspects of employee development and relations, applicant screening, facilitate the on-boarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth employment transition, discussing benefits, company policies, procedures, and compliance implementation. HR Manager shall work closely with our Management Team and employees to foster a culture of equality, engagement and support.
Benefits & Payroll: Facilitate with payroll to ensure accurate processing. Ensure timely submission of employee time sheets. Assist and oversee employee benefit programs, and meetings during the open enrollment period. Assist employees with benefit enrollment and questions, Manage leave of absence, vacation eligibility, and PTO ensuring proper documentation and communication.
Compliance & Policy implementation: Maintain accurate up-to date employee records and HR documentation. Communicate with Management on any HR matters and maintain confidential records of any issues. Review and update the employee handbook annually for compliance and policy changes. Safeguard confidentiality in handling sensitive HR matters. Report/record workplace accidents, manage workers' compensation claims, and maintain accurate records. Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local employment laws.
Qualifications & Experience: Prior HR experience preferred in business, social services or equivalent. Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices and ability to implement them. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion. Experience with CDK operating systems and payroll. Compensation based on experience.
