Staff Accountant

We are currently looking for an Accountant in the Orlando, FL area. This will be remote. This person must be in the Orlando, FL area to pick up equipment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES :

• Performs accounting functions associated with the recording of transactions and production of financial statements for assigned business units, including general accounting, cash / bank, payable, G&A, Accounts Receivable, Accruals and Allocations.
• Provide accounting support to various shared services departments.
• Prepare journals entries daily and prepare account reconciliations monthly.
• Provide variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement monthly for assigned areas. Assist in preparation and review of Internal and external audit requests.
• Prepare and record journal entries per established policy related to assigned entities.
• Assist the leadership team in performing monthly closings process.
• Prepare accruals monthly.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations related to assigned entities. Determine correcting entries for reconciling items.
• Prepare account reconciliations and record journal entries to clear outstanding items.
• Maintain and monitor various schedules as required by management.
• Good working knowledge of ERP system
• Proficient excel skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Self-motivated, self-starter, and detail oriented. Good working knowledge of ERP system
