Location: The Lift Operations Department Offices and locker room are situated in the Operations and Events Building in the upper village area , adjacent to the Alder parking lot. Summer lift staff reports directly to the assigned lift or attraction.

Job Summary:
 The Summer Lifts & Alpine Slide Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring the safe loading/unloading of properly ticketed guests onto/from chairlifts, alpine slide, Spider Monkey inflatable slide, and Strider bikes. They maintain safe conditions in and around lift terminals, slide areas, inflatable slides, and bike attractions while prioritizing positive guest interactions.

Job Relationships:

• Reports to: Lift Manager, Lift/Slide operators, Supervisors
• Employees Supervised: None
• Interrelationships: Works closely and communicates effectively with all Lift department employees, lift maintenance, other mountain personnel, and guests.

Job Specifications:

• Ability to follow instructions and work safely around machinery
• Strong communication skills to provide accurate information and maintain a positive attitude
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed
• Must be in good physical health with no restrictions
• Subject to WSI’s Alcohol and Controlled Substance Abuse Policy

Specific Duties:

• Provide exemplary guest service at various summer Lift Operations work sites including, but not limited to: Chair Lifts, Alpine Slide, Spider Mountain Monkey, and Strider bikes
• Safely load/unload passengers onto/from chairlifts or attractions
• Verify proper ticketing using ticket scanner
• Clean and set up slide and corral area daily
• Assist in sled and bike loading/unloading
• Provide instructions to slide participants
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of slide and lift shack areas
• Assist in daily lift and sled inspections
• Promote positive guest relations
• Serve as alternate Lift Operator as needed
• Gain thorough understanding of resort to act as an information source for guests

Safety & Wellness:

• Support and promote the success of Winter Sports, Inc Health & Safety Process
• Follow OSHA standards as defined by company policy
• Report any injury or unsafe working condition promptly

Physical Demands:

• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 35 pounds routinely
• Stand for extended periods up to 8 hours
• Engage in repetitive upper body motion during loading/unloading
• Work under varying weather conditions
