POSITION : Specialist, Human Resources

FLSA : Non-Exempt

DEPARTMENT : Human Resources

REPORTS TO : Director, Human Resources

SUMMARY : Human Resources Specialist will be detail-oriented and proactive with a focus on HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) to join our team. This role involves managing HR data integrity, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting the efficient onboarding process. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following :

  • First Point of Contact : Serve as the primary point of contact for end users, resolving HRIS-related inquiries and technical issues.
  • Onboarding : Oversee and streamline the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and compliance with company policies.
  • HRIS System Support : Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensure smooth HRM system operations, and perform scheduled activities to improve processes and meet HR requirements.
  • Data Integrity Management : Run system queries, analyze HR data, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of information in the HRIS.
  • Confidentiality : Maintain confidentiality of all employee information and ensure it is handled with discretion.
  • System Maintenance : Ensure timely updates and changes to team member data within the HRIS system.
  • ADP Expertise : Leverage ADP systems for efficient HR management, including troubleshooting, reporting, and optimizing features to support organizational goals.
  • Additional Duties : Perform any other duties as assigned to support the HR team and broader company goals

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education, Training and Experience Guidelines :

  • Experience : At least 3 years of experience in HRIS management or a related HR field, or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of :

  • HRIS Software : Experience with ADP or similar HRIS platforms is preferred.
  • Excel Proficiency : Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to utilize functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas for data analysis.
  • Skill in :

  • Collaboration & Independence : Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • HRIS Expertise : Strong knowledge of HRIS platforms, particularly ADP (preferred).
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, with the ability to analyze and present data.
  • Attention to Detail : Highly detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT :

  • Sedentary work.
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and / or fingers.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

  • Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances. Predominantly operates in an office environment.
  • Some periods of time may be spent in computer room and communications equipment spaces for installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
