What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychology Doctoral Practicum position at Winters Health Care?
Winters Healthcare is excited to offer a practicum opportunity for a Psychology Doctoral student to join our team in a supportive, integrated clinical setting. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide a range of integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health services to vulnerable populations. Our approach to behavioral health is centered around brief interventions, designed to make an immediate impact during a patient’s same-day office visit.
Under the guidance of our Director of Integrated Health, Dr. Javier Luna, a seasoned Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in the FQHC setting, students will be exposed to an innovative model of care. Dr. Luna has played a key role in developing the integrated behavioral health model we use today.
This practicum will allow students to engage in direct patient care through individual sessions, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Students will have the opportunity to work alongside Clinical Psychologists, ACSWs, medical providers (family practice), medical assistants, RNs, Patient Service Representatives, and Population Health Coaches—creating a truly integrated and holistic care environment.
