Commercial Painter

Winterton Painting II, Inc. is looking for painters to join their team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Apply paint to surfaces including dry wall, walls, floors, doors, and cabinets.
• Mix, match, and apply paint, varnish, shellac, enamel, and other finishes.
• Scrape, sandpaper, prime, or seal surfaces prior to painting.
• Clean walls to ensure proper adherence.
• Cover surfaces with cloth or plastic to ensure protection.
• Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives.
• Apply touchups or second coats.
• Remove paint splatters when finished.
• Operates, cleans, and maintains all painting equipment including brush, roll, sprayers, etc.
• Work on ladders or scaffolding to reach high ceilings or walls.
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Driver’s License required.
• Commercial painting experience with 18” roller preferred.
• One year as a painter in a residential and a commercial, industrial operations setting, both interior and exterior.
• 10 hour OSHA safety class completed preferred.

The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
