We are looking to hire a self-starter and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Pembroke-Russellville-Elkton, KY area. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily maintenance needs of the property and units. Qualified candidates will have previous apartment or property maintenance and carpentry skills.
Properties:
- Elkton Place: 609 South Main Street, Elkton, KY 42220 (24 units).
- Maple Grove: 915 West 9th Street #25, Russellville, KY 42276 (24 units).
- Pembroke Place and Pembroke Sr. Place: 113 & 128 East Cherry Street, Pembroke, KY 42266 (40 units).
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Work Schedule: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (Monday-Friday)
Compensation: $20.00 per hour, plus monthly cell phone reimbursement of $100
Sign-on bonus: $500 (Rehires and family members of employees are not eligible).
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous experience in property or apartment maintenance required.
- Knowledge of carpentry, dry-wall, painting, basic plumbing, basic electrical, etc.
- Basic computer skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Must possess own basic hand tools.
- After hours availability in the event of an emergency.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.
- Willingness and ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
Responsibilities:
- Completes all maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
- Completes make-ready process of vacant units as directed by the Property Manager, including repairs, cleaning and painting.
- Inspects grounds daily for needed repairs such as gutters, downspouts, roofing, siding, water leaks, HVAC units, etc.
- Daily trash pickup on complex grounds, including curbs, landscaping, and dumpster areas.
- Other related tasks, as assigned.
