We’re seeking a part-time Property Manager to join our team in the Clintwood, VA area. The Property Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a 47-unit RD property. A minimum of 2 years of experience in affordable housing is required. Key responsibilities include overseeing yearly recertifications, managing move-ins and move-outs, handling evictions, collecting rent, preparing monthly reports, conducting unit inspections, addressing lease violations, and more.
The ideal candidate must be a people-oriented professional, as this role involves daily interactions with tenants and prospective applicants.
Property: Towne View - 213 Volunteer Street, Clintwood, VA 24228
Job Type: Part-Time (24 hours per week)
Work Schedule: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Compensation: $15.00-18.00 per hour based on experience, plus monthly cell phone reimbursement of $50
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Two years of property management experience.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Effectively communicates with staff, residents, vendors and other individuals.
- Excellent customer service skills and able to work well in a team environment.
- Steady work history.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for training.
- Willingness and ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check.
Responsibilities:
- Assumes responsibility for the leasing and effectively marketing the property.
- Markets, forecasts, and projects upcoming move-outs in order to fill units quickly and maintain target occupancy.
- Completes applicant screenings to determine eligibility.
- Shows units to prospective residents.
- Adheres to all HUD, Rural Development, Tax Credit, Public Housing and/or Conventional Housing standards.
- Completes appropriate paperwork and follows compliance guidelines for leasing.
- Responsible for collecting and depositing rent payments.
- Other related tasks.
