Job Summary
Manages ASAP team of developers, analysts and database administrators: Manages work schedules, assigns tasks/projects, monitors and assesses progress; directs operations and maintenance of enterprise systems and applications; prepares short- and long-range plans for applications selection, systems development, systems maintenance, production activities and support resources; and produces departmental reports and provides project status updates as needed or requested. Formulates requirements definition and impact assessment for proposed new services or changes to existing services: Consults with users regarding processes, procedures and specifications; performs needs assessment and capacity planning; prioritizes department activities in relation to institutional priorities and departmental resources; and supervises and manages cross-functional projects and areas. Performs troubleshooting on new and existing systems, including testing and debugging. Assists other staff as point of escalation for troubleshooting and advice. Serves as backup to all ASAP staff who work with mission critical systems or applications. Prepares system documentation and provides training and instructions to campus users as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. Five years’ experience providing application development, business analysis and troubleshooting in production environments. Two years’ experience working in a higher education environment. Experience managing professional staff.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Ellucian Banner ERP . Experience with development and maintenance of Oracle or MS- SQL server. Experience in Linux and Windows Servers.
