Job Title: Stunting and Tumbling Coach
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Stunting and Tumbling Coach to join our cheerleading program. This coach will be responsible for teaching stunting and tumbling skills to athletes of various levels, fostering a strong team culture, and ensuring a safe and positive environment. The coach will collaborate with other coaching staff, cheerleaders, and parents to support the overall success of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinics and Tryouts: Assist with clinics and tryouts from April 9-12, helping evaluate potential team members.
Program Development: Collaborate with the coaching staff to build a strong, cohesive program identity.
Tumbling Sessions: Conduct at least four tumbling sessions per week during the summer (two in the morning and two in the afternoon) and four per week during the school year.
Stunting Practice: Lead one stunting practice each week in conjunction with cheer practice during the school year.
Support for Cheer & Dance Programs: Offer tumbling sessions to both cheer and dance program athletes.
Skill Instruction: Teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced tumbling and stunting skills, ensuring proper technique and safety.
Safety and Compliance: Maintain high safety standards during practice, stay current on safety protocols, and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations.
Communication: Maintain clear communication with parents and athletes regarding schedules, progress, and expectations.
Injury Reporting: Report all injuries and misconduct immediately to medical personnel, completing the necessary injury reports.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven experience in stunting and tumbling at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels.
Certifications: Successful completion of all OHSAA coursework requirements, along with current Pupil Activity Permit, CPR, First Aid, Concussion, and Fundamentals of Coaching certifications.
Skills: Strong knowledge of stunting and tumbling techniques, rules, and equipment management. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Attitude: Confident, positive attitude, serving as a role model for athletes.
Additional Expectations:
Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure athlete well-being.
Support the personal and athletic development of all team members.
Participate in program fundraisers.
Work closely with school medical personnel in managing injuries and assisting in rehabilitation.
Reports To:
The Varsity Cheerleading Coach and Athletic Director, in conjunction with the high school principals.
Supervises:
The coach may advise and coordinate with assistant coaches and middle school coaches as directed by the athletic director and principals.
Job Goal:
To develop athletes' skills in stunting and tumbling while fostering character development, discipline, and confidence. The coach will work toward team success and individual growth while maintaining a focus on sportsmanship and good mental health.

Foster good relations with parents, coaches, and the community.
Promote the sport both within the school and externally.
