- Maintain all aspects of portfolio accounting system (APX / Advent) including daily reconciliation, trade affirmation/settlement, security setup, pricing/account valuation, corporate actions, system automation, data workflow/custom reporting (SSRS)
- Assist in maintaining GIPS compliant composites; provide support for periodic production of portfolio/composite performance data and portfolio risk statistics (performance attribution, etc.)
- Work closely with various internal groups to improve operational efficiencies and proactively identify procedural, technical and data/reporting issues
- Monitor various reports to identify data quality issues and coordinate resolutions
- Resolve client account reconciliation issues that may occur between portfolio accounting system and various third party client custodians
- Open/close client accounts and complete ongoing account changes
- Prepare monthly/quarterly client reports and seek ways to improve process
- Bachelor's degree required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience working with investment operational applications -- investment accounting, reconciliation and performance analytics systems (APX and Factset experience preferred)
- Solid understanding of performance measurement concepts (GIPS experience a plus)
- Basic understanding of operational trading process
- Ideal candidate would possess experience with the following systems:
- Advent APX, Moxy, Rules Manager, SharePoint, SQL and SSRS
- Must show initiative to learn new systems, workflows and promote adoption across the team, as well as proactively suggest improvements
- Excellent organizational skills/attention to detail;
- Must have a sense of urgency;
- Team player, yet capable of challenging ideas/existing practices;
- Desire and ability to work on a small team in a small, open company environment
