What you’ll do:
- Understand and manage bankruptcy files from referral through dismal/discharge to ensure that your entire bankruptcy is processed in compliance with all state and federal laws while maintaining compliance with investor, insurer, agency, and company guidelines.
- Understand and manage foreclosure files from referral through sale to ensure that the entire foreclosure portfolio is processed in compliance with all state and federal laws while maintaining compliance with investor, insurer, agency, and company guidelines.
- Ensure collateral is preserved and maintained during the foreclosure/bankruptcy process. This may include routine site visits, ordering appraisals and coordinating maintenance and repair work. Coordinate the transfer of collateral into the bank’s other real estate owned department at the conclusion of the foreclosure process. Works with OREO department to ensure movement of collateral.
Other key responsibilities:
- Ensure that all timelines are met within, State and Investor guidelines.
- Stay current with pending regulatory and state law changes that could impact the bankruptcy or foreclosure process.
- Prepare financial figures as needed by counsel.
- Receive & process bankruptcy checks, review physical mail received by adding to accounts or forwarding to attorneys.
- Follow department checklist throughout the foreclosure & bankruptcy processes.
- Complete monthly problem loan reports for senior management.
- Prepare memos for potential charge and/or risk rating changes for loans.
- Conduct oversight reviews for subserviced loans from our 3rd party vendor.
- Includes any additional tasks related to current position as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- 1-3 Customer Service Experience.
- 3-5 years Bankruptcy, Foreclosure and/or Default experience preferred.
- Advanced computer skills preferred.
- Strong communication skills.

Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this role is $50,000 - $60,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus (hourly employees currently do not have annual bonus eligibility). Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
