Business Analyst - Healthcare

Analyzes business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and facilitating the implementation of technology solutions to support operational and strategic objectives within healthcare organizations.

 Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs, operational challenges, and strategic goals within healthcare organizations.
• Analyzing and documenting current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Leading requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews to elicit and document business and functional requirements for technology solutions.
• Developing business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making related to technology investments and process improvements.
• Translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications, use cases, and user stories for technology development and implementation.
• Collaborating with IT teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure alignment between business needs and technology solutions.
• Participating in the testing, validation, and user acceptance of technology solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and objectives.
• Providing expertise in healthcare regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and alignment with healthcare business needs.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Currently live in the Tampa, Fl or Atlanta GA area
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in analytics or relevant position in the Healthcare or Medical Insurance industry or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
• Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is strongly preferred.
• Ability to manipulate large sets of data strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills strongly preferred.
• Reporting - Responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts.
