Senior Data Analyst
Leverages data to drive insights, inform decision-making, and improve operational and clinical outcomes within healthcare clients. Responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to complex and varied business metrics. Typically provides technical assistance to lower level staff.
Please Note: Candidate will need to already live in the Tampa, FL or Atlanta, GA area
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the analysis of healthcare data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Collaborating with healthcare stakeholders to understand data needs, challenges, and opportunities across clinical, operational, and financial domains.
- Developing and implementing data strategies, including data collection, storage, analysis, and visualization, to support healthcare decision-making and performance improvement.
- Designing and implementing data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, integrity, and security within healthcare systems.
- Providing expertise in healthcare data standards, healthcare data exchange protocols, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA) to ensure compliance and interoperability.
- Collaborating with IT teams to design and implement data infrastructure, including data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms, to support healthcare data needs.
- Developing and delivering data-driven insights and recommendations to support clinical decision-making, population health management, and healthcare operations.
- Participating in the selection and implementation of healthcare analytics tools, business intelligence solutions, and data visualization platforms.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in related field
- Currently live in the Tampa, Fl or Atlanta GA area
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in analytics or relevant position in the Healthcare or Medical Insurance industry or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
- Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manipulate large sets of data strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills strongly preferred.
- Reporting - Responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, reporting and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts
