Title - Sr. GCP Data Engineer

Location - Minneapolis, MN ( Hybird)

Skills: Java/Spring, GCP (Dataflow (Apache BEam), PubSub, Cloud Functions, Big Query), DB Query Writing, Cloud Build, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Scheduler, (SpringRestTemplate, OkHttp)

Requirements:

Java/Spring:

• 7 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience. Including:
• Strong knowledge in developing web application using Java/Spring/REST/SOAP
• Strong idea on architecture and engineering design patterns for Microservices and web-based application development
• Experience in Sprint boot, Spring MVC with Kafka Producers/Consumers, Database and Integration patterns
• Experience of version control and build automation using git, Jenkins pipelines
• Expertise with micro service development that produce/consume REST APIs

GCP:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a passion for learning new technologies
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on application architecture focus where solution architect engaged with clients, systems analysts, technical resources, developers and testers to develop scalable and resilient software systems that leverage modern software stack and DevOps practices
• Minimum of 3 years of Client Management and/or Project Management experience
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Solution/technical architecture in the cloud
• Expertise in infrastructure automation and configuration management tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, Chef
• Deep expertise in GCP services: Compute Engine, App Engine, Kubernetes, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience building applications on GCP with cloud-native technologies such as microservices, containers, serverless computing, and DevOps practices
• Hands-on experience with GCP services using GCP Console

Other Skills:

• Ability to lead team development through best practices such as TDD, CI/CD, Monitoring, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, especially when working with a distributed team
• Ability to triage and manage complex, production issues
• Familiarity with integration design patterns related to scale, performance, security, and usability
• Knowledge of and working experience with open source software (Apache Tomcat, Artifactory etc.), Should have good debugging skills

Preferred:

• Agile development practical experience. Should be able to work with Agile teams of skilled developers/engineers
• Participates in all phases of the project lifecycle – architecture, design, development, MVP, and Dev Ops.
• Should be self-driven and able to work independently
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $105,000 to $1,35,000. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options
