JOB OVERVIEW:
The Sales Finance Analyst will be essential in delivering financial analysis and reporting that supports sales and marketing initiatives, enhances customer insights, and boosts overall business performance. This in-office position requires close collaboration with the sales, marketing, and finance teams to align financial objectives with business strategies. A key focus will be on regional reporting to evaluate performance across various geographic areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain financial reports tracking sales performance, marketing ROI, and customer acquisition costs by region.
- Analyze sales and marketing expense trends to optimize budget allocation and improve cost-efficiency.
- Support forecasting and budgeting by providing insights into regional sales pipelines and customer trends.
- Prepare and manage regional financial reports, analyzing sales performance, costs, and customer behavior.
- Provide detailed insights to optimize sales strategies and marketing campaigns tailored to local markets.
- Collaborate with regional managers to align performance metrics and financial data with business goals.
- Work with sales and marketing teams to analyze customer data, segmentation, and lifetime value (LTV).
- Provide actionable insights on customer acquisition, retention, and churn to guide region-specific strategies.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to sales, marketing, and regional performance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, marketing spend, and customer retention.
- Support the Finance Manager in forecasting and tracking actual versus planned performance by region.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to understand regional business needs and provide financial insights supporting strategic decisions.
- Handle ad-hoc data requests and financial analysis as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling, data analysis, PivotTables, VBA/Macros, advanced lookups, and nested formulas.
- Experience with financial reporting tools or ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central) is a plus.
- Solid understanding of sales and marketing metrics, KPIs, and their impact on business performance.
- Ability to analyze and report on regional performance data, providing actionable insights tailored to local markets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data for non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance, sales analysis, or marketing analytics (preferably within a subscription-based business model).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel occasionally for regional meetings or team collaboration as needed.
