JOB OVERVIEW:

The Junior Buyer will support the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating materials, goods, and services. This role ensures the organization maintains a steady supply of materials at competitive prices to meet operational needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers.
• Create and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in quantity, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Expedite product orders and proactively respond to new requests.
• Purchase products based on forecasted needs, considering total costs, including freight.
• Provide professional and timely responses to internal departments.
• Monitor inventory levels to align with company expectations and minimize excess stock.
• Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure stock availability.
• Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in budget management and cost control efforts.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulations.
• Monitor vendor performance for contractual compliance.
• Work cross-functionally with logistics, production, and quality assurance teams to streamline procurement processes.
• Prepare reports and maintain procurement documentation, including supplier performance metrics and cost-saving initiatives.
• Complete special projects as assigned by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and procurement software.
• Previous experience or internships in procurement or supply chain management (preferred).

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Associate’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• 0-2 Years of experience in procurement or related field.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Ability to work in an office setting with occasional warehouse visits as needed.
• May require minimal travel based on business needs.
• Must maintain an active and clean driver’s license.
• Flexible work hours may be required based on business needs

• $49,000 – $54,000 Annual Salary
